The Job
Painting concrete that was cast, not plastered.
Magic Breeze is Pooja Crafted Homes' lakeside development in Narsingi, on the western side of Hyderabad, with 3 BHK homes of roughly 2,800 to 3,300 sq ft (Telangana RERA P02400000029). The building was cast in aluminium formwork, better known as Mivan. Valor Infra worked under Medhansh Profiles, the project's facade contractor, and painted around 2 lakh square feet, inside and out, alongside the other agencies on site.
Mivan concrete comes out of the formwork dense and smooth, and it is easy to assume it only needs paint. It does not. Form joints and tie-rod holes have to be treated properly, the primer has to suit dense concrete, and the surface has to be prepared honestly before a single coat goes on. Skip that and the facade shows every joint within two monsoons.
As the work progressed, some homeowners also asked us to take on interior works in their own homes.
